Using Silver 2.1.6 or 2.1.7?

If “Update & restart” shows “Untrusted application window”, please download Silver 2.1.8 using the button below. Close MEGALOAD completely, extract the ZIP and launch the new EXE. Update your desktop shortcut to point to the new version.

Keep your existing AppData folder to preserve your settings and download queue. This one-time manual update applies the fix to the built-in updater.

Which version should I choose?

Choose the stable edition for your operating system, or try Windows 2.0 Beta to explore the redesigned workspace. Beta is an early-access release.

Where does automatic extraction save my files?

Desktop 2.0 Beta extracts complete, verified archives in their download folder when auto-extract is enabled. Keep all archive parts together. Password-protected archives may need a password before extraction can finish.

Does the desktop app change my plan limits?

No. Your MEGALOAD account’s traffic allowance, transfer speed and connection limits still apply in the app.

Is the 2.0 Beta available for macOS?

The 2.0 Beta package on this page is for Windows 10 / 11 x64. Mac users can download the separate stable Apple Silicon edition above.

Can I use JDownloader for MEGALOAD?

Yes. You can download MEGALOAD files with JDownloader 2 on Windows, macOS or Linux. Add your MEGALOAD account in JDownloader’s account settings, then add your download links. Get JDownloader 2.
